Did you know that some companies achieve an SMS open rate as high as 98%? That’s because text messages are much more noticeable than any other communication channel and if designed skillfully, they can do wonders. Here’s what you should do in order to make it happen.
First, don’t SPAM your subscribers. Send them an SMS only when you have important information, such as a special flash sale. This will make sure that they don’t learn to ignore your messages. Second, remember to keep your messages simple and clear – you’re not sending them a short story to read! Consider using branded URLs to make sure that the promo codes stand out. Third, use SMS to send individual promo codes for the subscriber’s birthday. This will make them feel appreciated and will make them want to stay with you. Fourth, remember that SMS alone will not do the trick – make sure you include other channels, such as email or web push in your marketing strategy.
